The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers forming firm opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was nearly selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. According to the official info, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are.
