Siblings Valentino and Giacomo, their sister Jela Jovanovic and her child Charlie Jovanovic travelled to the north-east of England to raid multiple homes in spring 2024. The foursome were jailed for from six and 10 years in May 2025. At a proceeds of crime proceeding at Newcastle Crown Court, Jela and the brothers Nikolov were ordered to repay £1 each while Charlie must hand over over a thousand pounds. Details of the Burglaries The court was told the gang came by boat in the UK on 27 March 2024 and used a RV as their "headquarters", which they stationed at a service area and Durham rest stops while utilizing another car to scout out properties and carry out thefts. On 31 March they stole over £1m of goods such as designer clothing, handbags, jewellery and a honor from a house on a street in Jesmond, while the owners were away. The judge Robert Spragg said if they were discovered with assets in the future, "for example operating Italy in a fast car or owning a property", prosecutors could initiate further action to "satisfy the amount due".
