Patrick Murray, best known for playing Mickey Pearce in the iconic comedy series Only Fools and Horses, has left us at 68 years old.

Back in 2021, Murray disclosed that he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent an operation to remove a lung tumour in its initial phase.

He mentioned in 2022 that his cancer specialist had informed him that his “cancer was cured and that the tumor in his liver organ was shrinking”, but in April 2023 he disclosed it had come back.

Career Roles

The actor portrayed Mickey, a dim-witted pal of the character played by David Jason Del Boy and Nicholas Lyndhurst’s Rodney Trotter, in 20 episodes of the comedy series from 1983 and 2003.

Before his work on the show, Murray starred in films like Quadrophenia, Scum, and Curse of the Pink Panther.

Additional television roles included the nineties sitcom The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.
