Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the regional debut of Wicked: For Good

Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who leaped a fence and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile features clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
